Artist Spotlight: Tasha Karelle “i Betcha”hitting radio this week

Natasha Harris, better known by her stage name Tasha Karelle, is a Female Rap Artist from Harrisburg, PA. Tasha was born on November 1, 1992 and has been writing lyrics and rapping since the age of twelve. Music is a passion that she wants to share with the world and hopefully inspire others to be different and embrace it.

Not knowing that music was a career she wanted until she performed a written piece in front of her college English class two years ago, she explains “I was always around music, whether I was writing it or listening to it, it was my escape from reality. I guess I subconsciously knew it was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, but I wasn’t for sure until I performed that piece in front of my English class.

It was a blessing to have their full attention, while I gave them my passion. It was the best feeling ever.” Tasha’s first single “Class in Session” was released in September in 2014 and received positive feedback. On April 2nd, 2015 Tasha attended and participated in her areas 1st ever 717 VMA cypher. This year, Tasha felt grateful and blessed to be nominated at the 4th annual 717 VMAS for “Best Female Rap Video.”

Tasha has been focusing on her latest single titled “I BETCHA”, which was released on April 2nd, 2016. She believes that music is supposed to bring us together and she hopes to achieve this goal all throughout her career. Tasha appreciates all of her supporters and always says “her fans are who she does it for.”
