Bobby Shmurda and his GS9 crew Arrested During Drug and Gun Sting
“Hot Ni**a” rapper Bobby Shmurda was arrested Tuesday night during a sting involving guns and drug trafficking.
According to TMZ, the indictment is sealed and the actual charges have not been disclosed, but they can confirm that it’s part of a long-term investigation by the NYPD and a narcotics prosecutor. Shmurda was reportedly under surveillance by police and arrested while he sat in a car outside of an NYC studio. He’s expected to be arraigned (12/18).

The press conference for Bobby Shmurda and GS9′s indictment happened at 3:30 p.m., held by Police Commissioner Bill Bratton and Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget G. Brennan. Bobby Shmurda was found with two guns, one on his lap and one lodged beside him in a car outside Quad Studios late last night, while three more guns were found hidden in the Studio’s stairwell, according to investigators. In all, 15 arrests were made and 21 guns were recovered.. Shmurda pled not guilty to currently-unspecified weapons and drug charges. Dean Meminger, Criminal Justice Reporter at NY1 News, was at the press conference and tweeted out photos of the guns that Shmurda and members of GS9 was allegedly busted with. Investigators say the crew owned “considerable” arsenal of guns for “armed warfare.” Bobby’s next court appearance is Jan 29.
