No one loves Chance The Rapper like Chicago, so it’s not a surprise that Barack Obama, who spent some important years of his life in the city, is a fan of the Coloring Book rapper. Chance was among the many artists invited to discuss the My Brother’s Keeper Initiative at the White House earlier this year, and his Acid Rap deep cut “Acid Rain” landed on the POTUS summer playlist. While that would be honor enough for most musicians, it seems Chance will be joining Obama once again at tonight’s state dinner.
Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi will be the guest of honor, and as FADER points out, CBS’s Steve Dorsey has revealed that Chance The Rapper will be in attendance alongside actor Roberto Benigni and celebrity chef Mario Batali. Chance later Instagrammed a picture of himself and his dad dressed in some slick suits, “Me and my Dad bout to pull up on Barack looking like some straight BOSSES,” he wrote.

It was also recently announced that Chance will perform at the White House’s annual tree lighting ceremony. Here’s hoping that we get a pic of Obama rocking a Chance 3 hat sometime in the near future.
