Music Biz: Rick Ross and Gucci Mane Are Filming a New Movie Together
Rick Ross, who just dropped another fantastic record in Rather You Than Me, shared the news at Atlanta’s V-103’s pop up concert this weekend.
“Me and Guwop gonna film our first movie,” Ross told Ryan Cameron. “We doing that independently. We gonna begin that in the next 3 months. That’s coming, that’s official. They gonna see us swerving.”
He also indicated that the film would be shot in Atlanta, which makes sense given that Atlanta is the third largest market for film production, behind Los Angeles and New York City. In fact, Atlanta is looking to take over the second place slot this year, making the city the biggest production city behind L.A.
As of yet, there’s no word on what exactly the Gucci and Ross film will be about but have a solid history of producing entertaining content, so it’s fair to expect quality. Gucci previously had a role in Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers in 2012 and has been teasing his own movie for a while now as well.
