As music industry veterans, but more importantly, music fans, you can probably name your favorite albums. But it gets tougher when asked to identify THE greatest albums of all time. Billboard is trying to do just that, and our editors would like your input.
Inside Billboard’s Greatest of All Time: The Most Successful Songs, Albums and Acts of the Past 50-Plus Years
We’ve compiled a list that represents the best-selling, most influential and most acclaimed albums across a variety of genres and decades. Our editors focused almost entirely on studio albums — compilations are only included where absolutely necessary, and live albums appear in select, historically important instances.
The results of this survey will appear as “The Music Industry’s 100 Greatest Albums of All Time” both online and in a future print issue of Billboard.
(For comparable surveys, see what our sister publication THR did here and here.)
Click on as many of the albums as you like — there’s no limit for how many you want to nominate for the final list. If you don’t see an album you consider one of the best of all time, enter it in the write-in category — we want to see what you choose.
