NYPD investigate hoax bomb outside Jay Z’s 40/40 Club

Early this morning (Oct. 21), NYPD’s Bomb Squad was sent to the Flatiron District to investigate an object that resembled an explosive that was found in a phone booth outside of Jay Z’s 40/40 Club, located at W. 25th St. and Broadway.

According to a report from the NY Daily News, the device was described by police as “a flashing light with wires attached to two pieces of wood.” It was found in a phone booth shortly after 7 A.M. this morning. Bomb Squad investigators X-rayed the phone booth this morning, and according to the most recent reports, the investigation is still ongoing.
