SLACKER

When studying the book of proverbs the word sluggard means to be a slacker(proverbs6:6,9). Men and women who dont teach and discipline their children,or the guy who wont help around the house,or the teen who wont do his homework and wants to play video games all the time are all examples of a slacker. When were honest with ourselves were all susceptible to this. Some of us are prayer slackers(1Thess5:17-18). Or Bible reading slackers(Ps119:113;2Tim.3:16-17) or a non witnessing slacker(matt28:19-20,acts1:8). If we dont do as God wants us to do we are spirtual slackers. Read the book of James for it will show you the ways of life as a Christian,for it is a sin to know what to do and not do it (james4:17) because we are ignoring the voice of God when he tells us to do something then we are choosing to sin (not slipping,but choosing).We must choose to be obedient and not be a slacker.
