Chief Keef possibly taken into custody following a shooting that reportedly ended with one person in the hospital.

A matter of days after Chicago rapper Chief Keef posted a picture of several high-powered guns and wads of cash along with the caption “Already” to his Instagram page, the Interscope Records signee was reportedly involved in a shooting this morning (March 26) in Northfield, Illinois.

TMZ reports that Keef was not the shooter, but was present when shots were fired, according to the rapper’s lawyer. Additionally, Complex reports that Keef was taken into custody.

The website also reported that the shooting took place at the home of Rovan “Dro” Manuel, a member of Chief Keef’s management team. Manuel was reportedly not injured during the incident.

According to the Chicago-based WGN, an individual did call in to the news station earlier today to declare that “Chief Keef shot him.”

Additional details in the shooting remain scarce, but it is reported that someone was taken to the hospital as a result of the incident.

Following his introduction into the national music scene thanks to his Back From The Dead record, “I Don’t Like,” Keef’s career has been plagued with run-ins with the law.

Last year, the 18-year-old lyricist was arrested three times in one month for charges including misdemeanor trespassing and disorderly conduct.

Most recently, Keef was arrested for DUI in his home state after being pulled over earlier this month due to expired tags. His arrest this month came only days after the rapper completed a 90-day rehab sentence at Wavelengths Recovery in Orange County, California.
