Artist Spotlight: Dre GainezZ – Activist and Rising Hip Hop Artist!
Rising Hip Hop Artist Dre GainezZ has always been community
involved. He has taken his activism to new heights. Dre was billed as the headline performer at the world premier documentary “The Legend of 420” in Denver Colorado, September 30th.
The Legend of 420 will air on Netflix.  Among the VIP in attendance were Abdullah Saeed (Bong Appetit, Viceland), Kevin Fox-Damta, Travis Lippert (VeedVerks), Monica Savvy (yo-hits radio), reporters from The Cannabist, Telemundo, High Times and other outlets. Denver rolled out the red, excuse me, GREEN carpet for the event.
Dre was among the VIP group who arrived in Denver a few days prior to the September 30th event. This group included Michael Andrews (screen writer) and Peter Spirer (award nominated director of The Legend of 420).
Peter also directed Beef I and II, Just Another Day, Rhyme and Reason and other projects. The Legend of 420 is distributed by Xlrator Media. Xlartor Media is currently working with SyFy on the series Superstition, written and produced by the legend Mario Van Peoples.
The Legend of 420 was hosted, in Denver,  by Millennium Grown and American Medical Refugees (AMR) under the direction of Amy Dawn Bourlon-Hilterbran,  The VIP group  was part of the Millennium Grown monthly meeting on Thursday September 28th as well as receiving  an up close and personal tour of The Medicine Man Dispensary on Friday September 29th. The Medicine Man is one of the premier dispensary’s in Denver.
Former Oklahoma Senator Connie Johnson was also on hand for The Legend of 420 as well as being part of the VIP group tour on Friday. Former State Senator Johnson is a Gubernatorial candidate in Oklahoma.  She is in favor of legalizing medical cannabis in Oklahoma. Dre is working with the former State Senator in her bid for governor.
He has an organized plan to bring the hip hop community together to back a candidate who has the interest  of their  community in terms of education, sentence reforms and other issues. The former senator will become the first African American female governor in U.S history and effectively turn a red state blue. The hip hop community will be an integral  part in a revolution that will set the tone for the 2020 presidential election,
Dre continues to work in close association with Death Row co-founder Lydia Harris. Ms. Harris, a Houston native, along with Trae Tha Truth and others  helped organize a hurricane relief event of September 30th. Dre encouraged donation to Houston while in Denver.
Dre is committing 40% of the sales from his music and merchandise as well as a percentage of his live performances to AMR through June 30th, 2017. His new releases BAE ( Badd ‘an Erythang) and Chaos ft Indygo Shai and currently available for download at  dregainezz.com. Dre has a clothing line that will be introduced soon. He has shows and events coming up.  Keep your eye on Dre GainezZ, he is a musical talent and so much more.
