Produced by himself and longtime collaborator HGF WAN, “New Fade“ had its world premiere last week as part of a major feature in Hip Hop Since 1987, which noted, “(‘New Fade’) shows DJ Silent Asassin’s indulgences in plain sight — libations, girls, anything to slow down time so as to buy a few more hours until sunrise.
It’s new emotional territory compared to that in which we’re used to seeing DJ — and it only creates more anticipation for ‘Free On Friday.’” DJ Silent Asassin will celebrate the release of “Free On Friday” with an extensive American headline tour, beginning July 5 th at Oakland, CA’s The Venue and then traveling through mid-April (see attached itinerary).
