(Video) 21-Year-Old Rapper Willie Bo Killed by 6 Police Officers While Sleeping in His Car.
Rising rapper by the name of Willie Bo was shot and killed by 6 police officers after finding him inside of his car sleep. Authorities say they received a call about a man slumped inside his car in public parking lot. Upon arrival, police found Willie Bo inside unresponsive with a gun apparently resting in his lap. However, Willie Bo’s sudden movement proved to be fatal as officers opened fire on the 21-year-old “in fear for their own safety.”
Willie’s brother Marc Mccoy released this statement:
“There was no attempt to try to work out a peaceful solution.” He continued, “The police’s job is to arrest people who are breaking the law – not take the law into your own hands. You’re not judge, jury, and executioner…We’re never going to get over this.” McCoy concluded by stating that the police “do not respect black people. Even when they have a person subdued and their life is not in danger, they continue to be blatantly physically disrespectful. That is just accepted in America.”
The 39-second clip was taken Saturday night at the Taco Bell on Admiral Callaghan lane, where 21-year-old Willie “Willie Bo” McCoy was shot and killed by six still-unidentified Vallejo officers. The video does not depict the actual shooting but contains audio of police yelling commands and dozens of shots being fired.
McCoy has not yet been officially identified as the person killed by police Saturday night around 10:30 p.m., but his family has identified him to reporters. Police say the officers fired shots after McCoy — who was allegedly asleep in the drive-thru with a gun in his lap — was startled awake and didn’t respond to commands to raise his hands
