Artist Spotlight: Exclusive Interview and New Music from Fantastic Glover

Give us some background info as to who you are.

I go by the name of Fantastic Glover, and the lifestyle of “Good ain’t Good Enough.” To start out with not much of anything at all, that’s the mindset that you have to have. I’m 26 years young, I’m a Scorpio, and music has become one of my favorite things to do. Not only am I an artist, I’m also an Engineer, Producer, Graphic designer, and do videos.

Tell us about growing up in Reed, Arkansas that has a population of 273 people?

Growing up in Reed wasn’t always very much fun, but it was always love. It was kind of one of those towns where anyone’s parents could catch you doing something and whoop you before sending you home. All black people in Reed, as long as I can remember it’s been that way. Just imagine starting out on a musical journey knowing that its only 273 people in your town. Who do you target? Who had the connections? Who was going to get us out of the hood? Nobody but ourselves. The whole hood was surrounded by cotton fields. Yes, I still have friends and family that work in cotton fields to this very day.

What is your USP? (Unique Selling Proposition) and what sets you apart from other Hip Hop artists?

Good ain’t Good Enough, it’s not a slogan it’s a lifestyle! Not only is that something that I say and put on merchandise, It’s really what I hold myself too. Why do less today and leave more for tomorrow? Why stop here, when you can make it there, you know?

What single or project(s) are you currently pushing?

Right now I am currently pushing my single Don’t Fall in Love featuring Ripleyz, produced by MI-Y made it.

Who does your production?

Between myself and a handful of other producers, we carry the load of doing all of our production in house. For instance, my entire upcoming album “God Bless” was produced by myself and MI-Y made it. Every single track on the album as well as a compilation cd that we are putting together.

What is your opinion of the current state of the music industry?

I mean when artist say that they don’t have to make sense anymore, it makes you think “Does it even make sense to continue making music?” I don’t know who a lot of the guys are that I hear on the radio now or what they are talking about for that matter. I listen to my fellow artist and the artist that I’ve been listening to that’s in the industry.

What are some major misconceptions that you think people have of you?

A lot of people probably think I’m hard to work with because I’m so picky. Like I am by far my own worst critic. Plus, I don’t talk a lot either so some people might think I’m anti or something like that. In all reality I’m really a cool, easy to work with guy. I just don’t accept anything less from myself.

Any final words for the people?
