Update: The 2015 BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher Participants
Per usual Atlanta was host to the 2015 installment of the BET Awards, as it was taped this past weekend (October 9th). And, per usual, there was a bit of controversy that happened as – after he received the shows Vanguard-esque “I Am Hip Hop” Award – living legend Scarface was almost immediately arrested on charges of non-payment of child support (he was allegedly not allowed to leave the state of Texas, thus violating his probation). Regardless, the BET Hip Hop Awards will debut on television on October 13th, and like its predecessors the one thing everybody cares about the most – the Cyphers – will arrive as well.
Where in previous incarnations viewers would be able to watch the freestyles go down days before the actual awards show aired, BET will now debut them throughout the show. However they have announced the actual participants, which includes a myriad of new jacks, legends, international artists, and some actors and actresses who are on Broadway. I mean, people thought that the Real Husbands of Hollywood cypher would suck, and that turned out to be one of the more entertaining sessions, so you never know.
