NEW UPDATE:  9:30 AM PT Via TMZ.com–   Tekashi told a different story to cops. Law enforcement sources tell us, they ended up interviewing 69 and he said the following:  At around 4:25 AM Sunday, he was a passenger in a Chevy Tahoe at a Brooklyn intersection, sitting at a red light, when a car bumped them from behind.  He told cops 2 men with guns jumped out, stole the driver’s iPhone and then grabbed Tekashi and dragged him into their car and sped away.

Law enforcement says they drove to Tekashi’s home and he called someone inside — presumably his baby mama — and asked her to come down with his jewelry … which she did.  Our sources say Tekashi then told cops he managed to escape and reported the incident to cops, but then became uncooperative.  He checked himself into the hospital.  Our sources say they have no idea how Tekashi was injured.

The 2 stories are obviously different.  As for why … Tekashi has bragged that people don’t mess with him.  The version he told his people make him look harder than the version he told cops.  You be the judge, but it seems pretty easy to figure this one out.

(Original Update) Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was allegedly kidnapped, robbed, and hospitalized early Sunday morning, reports TMZ. The rapper was heading home from working on a music video in Brooklyn when the incident occurred.

Tekashi69 was driving home around 4 a.m. When he arrived, someone reportedly pulled up in another vehicle and blocked his driveway. Sources told TMZ that three gunmen wearing hoods got out of the car, grabbed Tekashi 6ix9ine, and pistol-whipped him. He was left unconscious.

According to the sources’ account, the first thing Tekashi remembers is waking up in the back seat of the car. The gunmen were driving and told him that they would kill him if they didn’t get what they wanted. They were demanding him to hand over cash and jewelry. The men returned to 6ix9ine’s home and two of them went inside with him, while one guarded the car. The gunmen reportedly took about $750k in jewelry and $15k and $20k in cash.

The gunmen then drove away with 6ix9ine still in the backseat. At one point, he was able to open the door of the car and jumped out. One of the gunmen started to chase him but stopped because he was afraid he would later be recognized. 6ix9ine then jumped into a stranger’s car, asked for help, and the stranger called 911. He was then taken to a hospital by ambulance, where he remains.
