Cash Young Sosa, originally from New York and now based in Tampa, Florida is gearing up to share his trying life story with the world in the form of a new mixtape, “The Cash Young Sosa Story.” Cash is a gritty artist with a harrowing life story to tell. Having grown up in Flatbush, Brooklyn around rappers like Shyne, Red Cafe, and Curtains, Cash caught the hip hop bug early after he saw that it could serve as a path out of the streets. At the age of 13, after getting in trouble one too many times, Cash was sent away to a juvenile detention center where he first started to try his hand at writing and rapping. When he got home and saw that Shyne, who lived just around the corner, had signed to Bad Boy Records, he knew that pursuing a career in music was possible.

Soon, Cash had begun recording tracks and developed a buzz – he even had local celebrities and business owners looking to invest in his movement. Unfortunately, the buzz was cut short when Cash was arrested in Florida and hit with a big sentence. The silver lining, this time allowed him to work on his craft and create a plan for the outside, encouraged by the reception his music received from fellow inmates. When he hit the streets in 2017, Cash hit the ground running – dropping a ‘first day out’ single, “50z & Hundredz” that was well received in New York, even catching the eye of Hot97 and earning him a spot on their “New Artist to Watch” list.
Today, Cash is managed by the 20-year Philadelphia radio veteran, DJ NoPhrillz – who helped break artists like Meek Mill and Mac Miller. DJ NoPhrillz is also hosting the upcoming project, “The Cash Young Sosa Story,” a reflection on an exciting and trying life, packed with unique punchlines, catchy hooks, and NYC-inspired flows that switch between gritty street bars and reflective tales of hardship and poverty. The lead single “Pops” is produced by YoungFrenchy808, who’s produced hits for the legendary Maybach Music Group. The project also features production from longtime respected Florida producer, DjSwift813 – whose produced records for some of the hottest artists in the South, including Rod Wave and NBA Youngboy. Additionally, the project is being overseen by longtime friend and collaborator, respected producer and engineer, The Craftzman.
