Following Chris Stapleton’s mighty re-entry at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, the country singer/songwriter is looking to spend a second week in the penthouse — so say industry forecasters.
Sources suggest Stapleton’s Traveller album could rule for a second week (on the list dated Nov. 28), shifting possibly around 100,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Nov. 12.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The top 10 of the new Nov. 28-dated Billboard 200 chart is scheduled to be revealed on Billboard’s Web sites on Sunday, Nov. 15.
The highest debut on the forthcoming chart could be Ellie Goulding’s new Delirium, released on Nov. 6, which might move around 50,000 units.
