Clap Back! Roland Martin Responds to Mo’Nique’s shots at him!

It looks like Mo’Nique’s crusade against Netflix is far from over. Last week she took to social media to air out her grievances with the streaming company over what she called “racial and gender” bias. According to her, Netflix offered her $500,000 for a comedy special, much less than the $13 million comedian Amy Schumer got.

Friday, Mo’Nique took to Twitter to inform her followers that she’s “getting ready to do press.” She tweeted former television host and political pundit Roland Martin to help her cause, while also criticizing him for not fighting for equality for women. Martin responded within minutes in a series of tweets defending his record and telling Mo’Nique she should “look herself in the mirror.”

“Mo’Nique, the fact that you are even asking the question about what I have done to fight for equality and sisters shows you don’t know. I don’t talk about it. I DO IT. Have done it my whole career. I don’t need to talk. I put in the work,” Martin said via Twitter.

“I don’t waste my time in silly tit for tats. But Mo’Nique, you gonna have to own up to your stuff too if you want others to. That @EBONYMag cover you were on with @chrisrock and @IAmSteveHarvey? I conceived that issue. I was told the photo shoot was a horror because of you.”
