Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop – Diddy Wants to Buy Carolina Panthers NFL Team, Fans React
This isn’t the first time that Diddy has alluded to his desire to own a football team, be it his own league or in the NFL, but yesterday, the rap mogul said he wants to buy the Carolina Panthers on Twitter.
Following sexual harassment allegations and accusations that he used racial slurs, Panthers controlling owner, Jerry Richardson, said he plans to sell the team at the end of the season. That’s when Diddy spoke up, saying he’d buy the Panthers and contesting the fact that there are no black controlling owners in the league and it’s time to “make history.”
Steph Curry got in on the sentiment, saying he wants to get in on the bid for the Panthers, which made fans doubly excited. Of course, the idea of Diddy as a team owner drew a lot of responses from fans, who like the concept but also had plenty of jokes.
