I guess Drake feels that Kanye West had a great idea with his Pop-Up shop. The man did sell over $1 million in merch in like 2 days.

Now Drake is bringing his successful “Summer Sixteen” pop-up shop to the West Coast. Just a month after opening a temporary merch store in New York City, Drizzy is starting up a Los Angeles equivalent.

The rapper mentioned on Twitter that the store would have exclusive “Revenge” merchandise. Sweatshirts with “REVENGE” printed in yellow letters were a prominent feature of the NYC store. The L.A. store will also feature “Summer Sixteen” tour merch and, if it’s anything like its NYC equivalent, will be simpler, more traditional, and better organized than some of the other pop star pop-ups that we’ve seen in recent months.

Drake is not a stranger to the pop-up shop game. He had a similar temporary store in NYC this past April, about a month after Kanye did something similar.

The location of Drake’s Los Angeles store appears, appropriately enough, to be a now-empty retail space. It was once home to a marijuana dispensary.

Drake’s tour mate Future has his own Los Angeles pop-up shop in partnership with Fancy.com that is running at the same time as the OVO leader’s. Future’s shop will be open from September 5-11 and will feature such luxury items as a leather coat designed in collaboration with John Varvatos; a gold-and-diamond eagle pendant; a Dom Perignon candle; a Future emoji pin; and, of course, a “Luxury Weekend Bag” with a tag that reads “Always Secure The Bag.”
