The legend DMX seems to be working past the struggles that’ve kept him down since his glory days, as he’s had a promising start to 2016. He released a new track, “Moe Wings,” earlier this year, and Swizz Beatz revealed that he is helping produce X’s next album, which will reportedly feature Kanye West and Dr. Dre. After being a part of Diddy’s Bad Boy reunion show in Brooklyn, a heavy new DMX track has surfaced today. “Still Scratching” features another Ruff Ryder in Styles P of The LOX.
Though it would’ve sounded right at home in ’99, “Still Scratching” is just what’s needed right now, on the night before Summer Jam. It’s a wonder that DMX’s vocal chords are still intact, but “Still Scratching” proves that, at age 45, he hasn’t lost his bite. “Let a dog roam and he’ll find his way home,” as the saying goes.
