We got a chance to interview C Thugga to find out a little more about his movement and what else he has going on.

Who is the man called C-Thugga?

I was born and raised in Montgomery, Al as Noah Baker I am also known as ”C-Thugga”. I am from the west side of Montgomery, Alabama and I had a love for music at a very young age. I started producing beats by the age of 13 and my first time performing was at the age of 15. I initially joined the teen rap group in 1999 called “The Lawn Boyz” a.k.a. “Dryad Thugz” and we dropped our first cd titled “Dryad Thugz” in 2001. I  sold over 7000 albums before going solo. Now I am back working on my new mixtape called ”Gutta Muzik Reloaded” vol-2.

What is the meaning of your name?

The name C-Thugga comes from my older brother Clarence Baker a.k.a. C-Bo. He passed away back in 2005 and my nick name is of the things that I still have to remind me of him. The name Noah, is my birth name that came to my mother in a dream before I was born and “Lil Noah” is also my artist name a.k.a. “C-Thugga”

Who is your target market?

I’m trying to reach the Hip Hop and R&B region, ages 13-50 and anybody who love real Hip Hop music. Also, I dedicate a lot of my music to people who really been through hard times in life that know the struggle. It’s more poor people in the world than rich so that’s who I target with my music.

What is your USP? (Unique Selling Proposition) and what sets you apart from other Hip Hop artists?

I feel that my unique style itself sets me apart from the other Hip hop artist. I like to write my own music to make sure I don’t sound like someone else so that my fans can love my music, not because it reminds them of someone else’s work.

What single or project are you currently pushing?

I’m currently pushing my mixtape “Gutta Muzik” hosted by DJ Speechless. you can find it on livemixtapes.com and datpiff.com for free downloads. Right now I’m pushing my single “4 Real” because I feel that a lot of people can relate to it with the everyday situations we are currently living.

What is the philosophy by which you live by?

Live life to the fullest, have no regrets, do it now or never, we only live once so live everyday like it’s your last.

Which artists have inspired you?

Tupac, Biggie, Jay Z, UGK, 8ball & MJG, Outkast, Twister, Master P, Bone Thugz & Harmony, Cash money, and have all inspired me.

Who does your production?

The highly respected Dr. Fangaz, BeatChamp, KC Beatz, The Bang Brothers, and JB.

If  you can change one thing about the music industry what would it be and why?

Well my personal opinion is that there are a lot of artist out today with no real talent. That maybe have made it, because of one hot song that was catchy. So if I could, I would make it so more of the artist with real talent and real love for music to get signed.

Are there any singers that you would like to collaborate with in the future?

Kelly Rowland, Alicia Keys, R. Kelly, Rocko, Yo Gotti, Young Jeezy, 2Chainz, Lil Wayne, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, T.I., Andre 3000, Rick Ross, Lil Boosie, Webbie, and Eminem.

What producer would you like to collaborate with in the future?

In the future I see myself working with Zaytoven, Mike Will, Mannie Fresh, Timbaland

What are some major misconceptions that you think people have of you?

I feel that by me being from Alabama, I end up being judged by where I live and not by my music and what I have to say. Since Alabama is not a well- known state on the map in the music industry, My talent is not being given the credit it deserve.
