Congrats on winning the Best Video Contest. Who directed the video?
I appreciate the opportunity! Girl Pants Production directed my video for “Evil People”. They are an amazing up and coming Production team who is now based out of California. The video itself however was shot in Orlando, Fl.
Where are you From?
I was born in Brooklyn, NY raised in Manhattan. I am currently based out of South Florida. I rep my New York to the fullest, however ESPN has recently recognized me to be a part of the Miami Music Scene with their recent segment that aired featuring Lil Wayne, Birdman, Flo Rida, Jimmy Buffet and myself Mic Nice. What single are you currently pushing?
I have to active singles I am currently pushing and I’ll explain why 2 at the same time. The first single is a leak off my album. I am half way through the completion of my debut album and wanted to hit my supporters with a sample of what to expect. The name of that song is “If I’m Dreamin’” You can find that on my soundcloud. The second single I am pushing at the same time is called “Champions”. This song was used by ESPN for their 2013 NBA plays of the year. When offered the opportunity to work on this project, I had just released “If I’m Dreamin’”….This is how I ended up with two singles being pushed at the same time. “Champions” can be found on iTunes, Amazon, or if you just want to check out the ESPN video it can be found on Youtube.
What makes Mic Nice stand out among the rest of the artist out today?
“Mic Nice is one of the only rappers still rapping from his heart, that and Mic Nice’s accessibility”. Is what I really hear a lot. I make a strong effort to connect with my fan base and ongoing supporters.
“Industry exec’s love Mic Nice cause he’s passionate about not only his art, but the business side of the ‘Game’.” I get this a lot from industry people because I know how to invest and flip. Which artists have inspired you?
Independent artist these days….thats what inspires me. The passion I see behind these kids today is what makes me grind harder. I respect and admire the big commercial artist, like Kanye, Jay-z, Lil Wayne, Drake…and so forth…But it’s really the independent artist who I feel I’m up against.
Who does your music production?
Right now I am independently working with JG. He’s an up and coming producer from Texas. His sound is amazing and the range of his production is like no other. The emotion, passion, and focus he puts into his projects are what set him aside. He’s not married to just one sound. His drum patters and melodic melodies lock you in as soon as your turn on a record produced by him. He will be producing the entire Mic Nice album. Mixing and mastering the album will be Volts United. Closely working along side Jackson is what’s going to keep our records radio ready. Make sure you check out both those talented musicians.

What is your favorite part of your live show?
My favorite part of my live performance is connecting with the audience. My stage presence is felt once I hit the stage. I keep it flashy but classy on stage. You’ll always catch me dipped out in some fresh clothing/sneakers you may have never seen in your life….while also reminding the crowd I am just like them. Come check out a show…you’ll understand
What is your Album going to be like?
My album is going to take you on a journey…You’ll be able to pop the cd (if people still do that) and just rock out from track one all the way to the end. My sound is of the heart…with beats that hypnotize you from the start. The album introduces you to the sound hip hop has been missing.

Mic Nice” is currently unsigned and is successfully doing independent thing. He was just recently featured on ESPN’s SportCenter along side with lil Wayne, birdman, Flo-Rida and the man himself Jimmy buffet. That video can be seen on his personal website www.micnice.com He has worked with ESPN on their NBA plays of the year, on a record called “My House” (doing quite well even till this day on iTunes, and Amazon). He has also worked on the new ABC show called “Miami Music TV”. Along with traveling throughout the world performing and networking with artist, producers, and different labels…Mic Nice has just put out a very powerful music video called “Evil People” It’s almost like a movie inside the video that goes right along with the record.
