#NewMusic Jeremih’s “Nympho” Check it out
Jeremih’s The Chocolate Box EP is very much split between warm, Babyface R&B-soul and icy late night jams. “Nympho,” by title alone, could fit into either category, but very much falls into the latter as it closes out the project. Produced by RetroFuture, the slick, minimal track is a reminder of Jeremih’s understated influence on a new wave of vocalists. His falsetto experiments bring to mind Starrah, one of pop music’s most successful new songwriters who has previously collaborated with the Chicago singer on “Pass Dat” and Dreezy’s “Body.” It’s also not that difficult to draw a line outwards towards rap acts like DeJ Loaf and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.
