More Kanye West Blacklash! Rapper Eve from the Talk says “I’m Done With Kanye”

Eve got very emotional and spoke from the heart about Kanye West’s recent comments about slavery being a choice. She talk about how it made her feel as a black person. Here is what Eve had to say on The Talk TV Show: “Every time I watch these clips, I get emotional….it is so disrespectful,” she explained. “I can’t understand how a black man that was born on the south side of Chicago can have these ideas…I cannot understand this. You want to be a free-thinker, you want to be thought-provoking, you cannot have these ideas without facts to back them up.”

Eve went on to reiterate the complaints of many to West’s comment, outlining that the history of slavery still impacts African Americans.
“Slavery is a fact. Slavery is part of our history,” she said. “We are still feeling the effects of slavery within our community, within our culture.”

Eve concluded her thoughts by offering fans of West’s music new suggestions to artists who have an understanding of history.

“This is a man that I actually used to listen to, this is a person that we used to look to as an artist,” she explained before urging her audience to other musicians. “Pick up some Nas, pick up Damian Marley, pick up some J. Cole, pick up some Kendrick Lamar. Listen to these artists. I am done with Kanye.”
