2017 Bet Hip Hop Awards

Kendrick Lamar, Cardi B, and DJ Khaled Lead 2017 BET #HipHopAwards Nominees

The nominees for the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards have been announced. Kendrick Lamar, Cardi B, and DJ Khaled lead this year’s group of potential winners with a whopping nine nominations each. Elsewhere, Chance the Rapper and Jay Z tied with five nominations while Future and Migos held strong with four.

This year, BET is taking the ceremony to the Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater. The show will tape Oct. 6 and air Oct. 10. In a statement to Billboard, BET’s programming boss Connie Orlando said the network remains sensitive to the victims of Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey.
