Artist Spotlight: Maggie McCreath is a 19-year old singer-songwriter, born and raised in Lancaster, UK, coming from a musical background and currently working on new music while studying vocals at a university in London. She draws inspiration from the likes of David Bowie, Amy Winehouse and Simon and Garfunkel and she has already gathered a loyal fanbase through playing plenty of gigs in Lancaster and releasing an Ep and a single in 2018.
Her latest single, Space Child, is a narrative Maggie is planning to continue to explore, surrounding the feeling of not fitting into society. Her music can’t be defined as fitting into one single genre but invents a new one with her unique sound in between folk, indie and singer-songwriter. With her drive, talent, unique voice and creativity, It seems only a matter of time before Maggie will be performing on bigger stages.
Currently working on new music, her inspirations span from the likes of David Bowie and
Amy Winehouse to the Cure and Simon and Garfunkel and she has already gathered a loyal
fanbase through playing plenty of gigs in Lancaster and releasing an Ep and a single. She has also appeared in Beyond Radio in 2018 and 2019 and in The Fitzrovia News in 2020.
Space Child is out on all major streaming and downloading platforms on May 8th 2020.
