Last August, Chance the Rapper launched the Rapper Radio campaign, an online platform that allows fans to request his songs on their local radio stations with the click of a button. The platform helped his 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne-assisted Coloring Book track, “No Problem,” reach No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart.
Chance the Rapper is making sure other artists get the attention they need on terrestrial radio through his new platform Rapper Radio. The Chicago rapper is expanding his website to get more artists radio airplay.
Not only can fans tweet to have Chano’s new single “All Night” get played on their local radio station, but they can also request to have DJ Khaled’s “I’m the One,” which he is featured on (along with Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne and Quavo), as well as Jidenna’s “Bambi” and Linkin Park’s “Heavy.”
All the user has to do is just type in their city, select which radio stations they’d like to hear the artists’ music on and the button will tweet their request to the station’s official Twitter.
Users who use the platform will be automatically entered to win a cool prize. Top users will receive tickets to Chance’s currently sold-out Be Encouraged tour, and his wardrobe from the “I’m The One” video shoot. Winners will be selected this Friday (May 12) at noon CST.
Head over to rapperradio.com and good luck.
