Music Review: Is Jay-z 4:44 Album Too Smart for today’s younger Hip-Hoppers?
50 Cent….was kinda right when he said this album is “too smart for today’s younger hip hop generation”. The album is creative and great, but not a club or dance tracks on this one. For the first time in Jay’s music history, he may not get a club banger off the album. Which is ok…..he’s hitting a different market and purpose this time. He’s trying to make you “Mentally Woke” not you shaking your ass. Thanks for this one HOV!
Here is some feedback from celebs regarding 4:44 from Jay-z
50 Cent….
“I listened to Jay shit, that 4:44,” 50 said in the video. “I thought the shit was aight. I liked the shit, but I’m gonna keep it 100 – the shit was a little … the shit was too smart. I felt like I was supposed to be wearing like glasses and shit and like a tie, a fucking sweater around my waist. It was like Ivy League shit.”

Meek Mill’s view on 4:44
“We rockin’ Off-White and HOV rockin’ Tom Ford. It’s just two different things, but at some point, you wanna pick up the Tom Ford. At some point, you wanna put the money down and invest. Get some credit. I remember when Ben Franklin never answered my call, so once in a while I have to talk to him,” alluding to HOV’s verbal jabs about putting money to your ear. Seems like Hov’s message has resonated with Meek Mill.
