Ariana Grande wasted no time putting “Thank U, Next” into the world, releasing it less than three months after Sweetener debuted. She then treated fans to a lyric video for the breakup single just a few days later on Tuesday (Nov. 6).
The new video displays the words of her song on uneven, faded pink pieces of paper against a matching background, employing a ransom note effect. An occasional lipstick print appears by the lyrics, adding to the vintage feel created by the choppy footage.
