New Music: Stream Nicki Minaj Barbie Tingz
Nicki Minaj is back for the crown. Today (April 12), she drops her single “Barbie Tingz,” right after her interview with Beats 1’s Zane Lowe. Also look out for another track she just dropped with Young Thug. Stream or Download the song via spotify below.
Nicki sounds like she hasn’t lost a step, even after her hiatus. “Uh, I’m in my prime, Optimus/
Sagittarius, so you know I’m an optimist,” she cleverly strings together on track. “Man, keep it all real, I’m a prophetess/So at least you took an L off your bucket list.”
She also takes a swipe at female rappers trying to emulate her: “Rap bitches tell they team, ‘Make ’em like Barbie’/Had to come off IG so they can’t stalk me.”
The new song, produced by J. Reid of Chevi Music, comes after an interesting few weeks for Nicki. The first spark was producer Mike WiLL Made-It revealing that he had a new Minaj collab on the way, after reposting her recent Mercedes-Benz commercial. Matching this with a sequence of deleted tweets last week, Nicki’s fans were fully primed for new tunes.

“Barbie Tingz” is one of the first solo singles from Nicki Minaj (alongside “Chun-Li”) released in 2018. It marks her first original solo music since the March 2017 release of “No Frauds,” “Changed It,” and “Regret In Your Tears.”
The track was announced along with the single artwork on Minaj’s social media on April 10, 2018.
Nicki also dropped another track today called Chun-Li for all the street Fighter video game fans.
Introduced in 1991, Chun-Li was the first female fighter in the Street Fighter video game franchise. On her new song, produced by J. Reid of Chevi Music and Nicki Minaj herself, she delivers pinpoint precision and dexterous flows, channeling the spirit of Chun-Li over an electric instrumental.
“Ayo, look like I’m going for a swim/ Dunk on ’em, now I’m swinging off the rim/Bitch ain’t coming off the bench/While I’m coming off the court fully drenched,” she spits on the track. It’s good to have Nicki back.
