#NewMusic Jim Jones Releases Trailer for ‘Wasted Talent’ Album Starring Cam’ron
The group acrimoniously split, and for years Jones was out on his own. Last year, the Diplomats settled their differences and linked back up, and now Jones is back on his musical grind as well. On Wedsenday, Jones released an official trailer for his upcoming project Wasted Talent. The trailer begins with an ode to New Jack City.
Jones and Cam’ron enthusiastically reenact a scene where Nino Brown and Gee Money play a heated game of basketball. Before the game can really get going, an unknown man approaches much like Scotty Appleton does in the movie. Jones vouches for the man, but Cam’ron forces him to search his friend. “That’s your man, you not my man,” states Cam’ron as tension rise. After the New Jack City influenced sketch is complete, Drake’s “Diplomatic Immunity” starts playing. The song gets an instant remix, and Jones begins to rap over the new instrumental. “I try to put them on to game, but they never hear me/maybe a text is the closest that you getting near me,” raps Jones as he’s surrounded by his crew.
Wasted Talent is slated to drop today (March 9th). Check out the video trailer above
