Music Biz: RCA Records Promotes Keith Naftaly to President of A&R
RCA Records’ longtime head of A&R, Keith Naftaly, has been promoted to president. Prior to his title upgrade, the industry veteran and trailblazing former radio programmer had been evp/head of A&R at the label since late 2012. He’ll continue to report to RCA CEO Peter Edge out of the company’s NYC headquarters.
In recent years, Naftaly has overseen successful campaigns for a cappella sensations Pentatonix, as well as new albums by Pink, Kesha, Sia and G-Eazy. Lately he’s been focusing on follow-up albums for both Zayn and Elle King.
“I have worked with Keith for many years and continue to be impressed by his musical instincts and understanding of pop culture,” said Edge, the previous head of A&R at the label. “These talents, alongside his demonstrated ability to develop the next generation of A&R stars, make him an invaluable asset to RCA. His integrity and generous spirit as one of our key creative executives have also helped make RCA the number one destination for great music and true artistry.”
Congrats to Keith.
