T-Pain Reaches Out To Collab With Musician He Found On the Internet

When musician GLASYS shared a short video to Reddit of himself singing while playing multiple synths at once in May, he was hardly expecting that autotune legend T-Pain would be logging on to cosign him.

Not only that, but the Tallahassee singer made GLASYS an impressive offer, writing “I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. PM me if you wanna work together bro. This is amazing!”

Time began to pass without much activity or communication, as it can often do in the music business, as GLASYS told Pigeons and Planes: “We’ve spoken a bit, and he asked me where I’m located. I told him I’m in Portland, but willing to travel to work with him (I believe he lives in Georgia) and he didn’t respond after that. I don’t blame him though, I’m sure he’s super busy!”

But a few days ago, GLASYS came up with a novel way to regain Pain’s attention and shared a video of himself providing the synths and backing vocals for T-Pain’s NPR Tiny Desk performance of “Up Down” from 2014.

Unsurprisingly, the incredible mash-up caught T-Pain’s attention once more, and he tweeted, “Looks like we don’t have a choice but to make this happen for the world!”
