Veteran Emmy producer Don Mischer is planning a heartfelt but “fun” tribute to Robin Williams, led by pal Billy Crystal as part of the awards show’s traditional In Memoriam segment. Mischer says, “His recent and shocking death, it has really resonated with the country, and truly resonated with the television community…Billy is going to say some words about Robin that will be very heartfelt,” but “we know he’d want something that reflects the fun he gave all of us.” Williams launched his screen career on ABC sitcom Mork & Mindy and last starred on CBS’s The Crazy Ones.
