It was the twerk heard ’round the world. Sure, Miley Cyrus’ VMA performance was strange and somewhat manic. But in some people’s eyes it was an actual crime. Following the performance, numerous complaints were filed to the FCC by outraged viewers of Miley’s foam-fingered, butt-bouncing bonanza. The FCC, however, does not have the authority to sanction cable networks like MTV.
