Garth Brooks said he would travel to Ireland to plead with Prime Minister Enda Kenny to allow all five concerts from July 25 to July 29 in Dublin to proceed as planned. “If the prime minister wants to talk with me, I will run, crawl, swim, whatever it takes, to get to Ireland and beg him to allow these shows,” Brooks said in a press conference on Thursday. The country music star, who had been in semi-retirement until this tour, sold 400,000 tickets to five concerts at Croke Park in Dublin. Then 10 days ago, City Manager Owen Keegan decided to only provide permits for three shows after neighbors of the stadium complained. Instead of agreeing to cancel two shows, Brooks has said he wouldn’t play any of them.
