The holidays are a busy time for just about everyone! Family, friends and a whole lot of food, and for First Lady Michelle Obama, the most wonderful time of the year isn’t much different. Flotus shared her favorite holiday moments in the December/January issue of Ladies Home Journal, and things get goin’ early in the White House. She says, “We have a reception almost twice a day, every day, until December 21. That means hors d’oeuvres and eggnog and cookies for every guest who comes through.” Michelle also says one of her favorite things to cook up oin the kitchen is a “simple and delicious white-bread crumb stuffing with oysters and spicy sausage.” As for the gorgeous White House tree? She says, “Usually it’s the tree in the Yellow Oval room. We’ll have hot chocolate, light a fire, no matter what the weather is, get out a basket of decorations and then I’ll pout on the first holiday music of the season.” Sounds fab and festive!
