The woman who starred as Maria in the 1965 film was not a part of the 18 million viewers. In fact, the Princess Diaries actress had more important things to attend to. When asked if she was able to catch the reprise of the Sound Of Music Live Julie answered: “Alas, I did not (see it). I had a speaking engagement and I couldn’t. But my kids did record it. I’ll get around to it.”
