Sean, Charlize, and a slew of their famous friends came together in Los Angeles Saturday for the third year in support of Sean’s Haitian Relief Organization. Penn, addresed the audience at various points throughout the evening. At one point, the actor told the audience that, “The cure for poverty is the empowerment of women.” In a move of solidarity, he also gave his collection of 67 guns to artist Jeff Koons so that they could be transformed into a one-of-a-kind piece of art. Anderson Cooper ultimately won the bidding war for the sculpture, buying the piece for $1.4 Million.
