#NewMusic Rapper XXXTENTACION Dedicates Song To Parkland Florida School Shooting Victims
XXXTENTACION has released a new song dedicated to the victims of the mass shooting that took place at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida last week (February 14).
The track, titled “HOPE,” comes in at 1:45 and features X singing softly over a smooth instrumental. He grew up about 20 miles away from Parkland, in nearby Lauderhill, Florida.
“Rest in peace to all the kids that lost their lives in the Parkland shooting,” X says at the beginning of the track. “This song is dedicated to you.”
In the album art on SoundCloud, he posted that the words at the end of the song are dedicated to those at Douglas High.
He expanded on the full song’s lyrics in an Instagram story, explaining, “although not all the words are relevant to the situation, I chose what I felt was relative and uplifting instead of graphic and real.”
