The grand finale began with the 23-year-old rapper performing his No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit “Rockstar,” with 21 Savage coming out to rap his quest verse. Then — gear shift! — Post strode over to the center of the Radio City Music Hall stage, where Aerosmith was ready to party like it was ’99. Malone (who was just 3 years old when “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” went to No. 1) grabbed a guitar and rocked alongside Joe Perry for “Dream On.” And then, instead of going for a more obvious hit like “Walk This Way” or “Sweet Emotion,” Aero-Post finished off with 1975’s “Toys in the Attic.”
